Key Requirements

 

Valid Passport:

* Must have at least 12 to 18 months of validity from the intended date of entry.

Academic Transcripts:

* Certified copies of your previous educational certificates and mark sheets (e.g., SSC, HSC, Bachelor’s, or Master’s).

English Proficiency:

* Proof of English is typically required. Most institutions require an IELTS (5.5–6.0 minimum) or TOEFL score, though some may accept a Medium of Instruction (MOI) certificate.

Financial Capability:

* Proof that you can cover tuition and living expenses, usually demonstrated via bank statements covering the equivalent of BDT 10–12 lakhs.

Medical Screening:

* You must undergo a pre-departure medical examination at an EMGS-approved panel clinic in Bangladesh.

Passport-sized Photographs:

* Multiple 35mm x 45mm photos with a strict white background

 

 

Step-by-Step Application Process

 

Apply to University:

* Submit your application and academic documents directly to an EMGS-approved university or college in Malaysia to get a confirmed offer of admission.

Submit to EMGS:

* Your chosen institution will upload your application to the Education Malaysia Global Services portal. You will need to pay the visa processing, insurance, and medical screening fees during this stage.

Wait for Approval:

* The Immigration Department of Malaysia and EMGS will process your application. This generally takes about 4 to 6 weeks, resulting in the issuance of an Electronic Visa Approval Letter (eVAL).

Obtain Single Entry Visa (SEV):

* Once the VAL is issued, you must apply for a Single Entry Visa at the Malaysian High Commission in Dhaka to legally travel to Malaysia.

Post-Arrival:

Upon arrival in Malaysia, you will undergo a final health screening and receive your official Student Pass.
